The Canadian Embryo Transfer Association (CETA/ACTE) is a non-profit association that was incorporated in 1984 with the purpose of uniting those organizations and individuals, primarily veterinarians engaged in the embryo transfer industry in Canada.
OUR MISSION:
The Canadian Embryo Transfer Association (CETA/ACTE) is the national body serving and representing the interests of its members and the embryo transfer industry. The association is committed to excellence and promotion of embryo transfer technologies within Canada and abroad.
OPERATIONS:
CETA/ACTE operates under standards of performance and conduct as set out by the CETA/ACTE Board of Directors and membership at large in order to protect the users of the embryo transfer (ET) industry to the extent technically and ethically as possible.
OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE of CETA/ACTE:
*To oversee the certification program for practitioners, so as to ensure technical competence for the CFIA accreditation program. To ensure that quality work is performed with the highest ethical standards.
*To provide continuing education and information regarding current issues in the embryo transfer industry for members.
*To unite the organizations and individuals in Canada engaged in the Embryo Transfer Industry.
*To operate under standards of performance and conduct as set out by CETA/ACTE in order to protect the users of the Embryo Transfer industry to the extent technically and ethically possible. This will include regulations and requirements established by:
*Canadian Food Inspection Agency
*Breed Associations
*Provincial Veterinary Licensing Bodies
*Provincial Governments
*To provide liaison on behalf of those in the Canadian Embryo Transfer industry with Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Breed Associations, Provincial Veterinary licensing bodies, International Embryo Transfer Society and others.
*To present a unified voice for those involved in the Embryo Transfer industry in promotion mutual interests and objectives.
*To serve as an information center for the industry and the public.
