The inaugural AICT, launched in Singapore in 2005, was conceived with the visionary aim of consolidating expertise, know-how and resources of leading regional institutions and societies to create a significant international impact in field of interventional cardiology. This meeting is privileged to be supported by our regular partner of Society of Cardiovascular Angiography & Intervention (SCAI) - an international body representing all interventionists; and the Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology (APSIC), which recognises it as a core meeting in this region. The recent successful conclusion of the 5th AICT 2009 held in Shanghai China saw new milestones being achieved. The meeting garnered an even wider reach and received new support by the China Interventional Therapeutics (CIT). Hence, the return of AICT to Singapore, since its inaugural meeting in 2005, is filled with great expectation and excitement.
The AICT meeting in 2010 will showcase the basics and the latest advances in coronary intervention technology in the form of live demonstrations by renowned operators, as well as didactic lectures and interactive sessions with experts. It also intends to distinguish itself by having a strong teaching component by providing trainees and nurses with comprehensive basic to advanced knowledge and practical tips on the handling of the different interventional devices. Participants will also be invited to submit their most challenging coronary or endovascular intervention and structural heart disease cases for review and discussion at the AICT. The meeting is expected to attract delegates from the regional countries, particularly interventional cardiologist and trainees alike, nurses and cardiovascular technicians who work in catheterization laboratories or manage patients with cardiovascular disease.
Whilst we endeavour to put together an exciting and unparalleled scientific programme to stimulate and engage your professional interest, the meeting cannot be deemed successful without your support. Besides the scientific enriching experience, it is also a wonderful time to visit Singapore for our integrated resorts (with Universal Studios) and Marina Parks will be open.
